The NAHL’s Wenatchee Wild unveiled their team colors and logo
last week. The team name was selected from a list by area school
kids.

In a move that has a bunch of people shaking their heads,
Blake Wheeler rejected the offer of the Phoenix Coyotes
Wednesday, and has elected to become a free agent.
Having signed, Wheeler could have received a maximum
$984,000 + $295,000 signing bonus. Now, Wheeler will
take his chances with another team, but he can earn a
maximum of $875,000 + $87,500 signing bonus.
For their trouble, the Coyotes get the fifth pick in the second round.
