    Former Whitehawk hockey sisters Carissa and Kelsey
    Ketcher each take another step in their hockey journey.

    Carissa Ketcher ended her prep career at Eden Prairie H.S., and signed
    a letter of intent to play next season with Bemidji State University.

    Kelsey Ketcher has been selected to participate in the 17-18 girls
    Olympic development camp in Lake Placid, June 23-29,
    and will return to Eden Prairie H.S. for her senior year.

    NHL: Brian Leetch Retires

    Eighteen-year veteran defenseman Brian Leetch announced
    his retirement Thursday.

    Leetch spent 16 seasons in a New York Rangers jersey, before
    moving to Toronto during the lockout season, and then signed
    with the Boston Bruins, before cleaning out his locker.

    Highlights:

  • 6 feet, 185 pounds, shoots lefty
  • 18 seasons, 1205 games, 247 goals, 781 assists
  • Ninth draft pick overall in 1986 NHL Draft
  • 1988 Olympic Team
  • Norris Trophy Winner (Best Defenseman, 1992, 1997)
