Herb Brooks inducted into Hall of Fame

Minnesota native and USA “Miracle on Ice” Hockey coach Herb Brooks will be inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame today at Harris Theatre in Chicago.

Brooks is among a host of inductees, including the ‘84 Gymnastics team, Shannon Miller, and Kristi Yamaguchi.

Gophers Visit Grand Forks

The Minnesota Gophers, falling to #8 in the polls after last weekend’s sweep by Wisconsin, travel to Grand Forks this weekend to meet the #4 UND Fighting Sioux. North Dakota climbs to #4 in the polls this week, after a weekend sweep of Michigan Tech.

The games will be televised on FSN North.

The Gophers are 7-5-4 overall and 6-4-2 in the WCHA.
The Sioux are 10-5-1 overall, and 6-4-0 in the WCHA.
