Team Minnesota wins Chicago Showcase

Team Minnesota won the Championship of the Chicago Boys’ Showcase hockey tournament Sunday. Minnesota defeated Team Wisconsin 5-4 to claim the title.

Team Minnesota outscored opponents 40-12 in their six tournament games.

BOYS HS HOCKEY – Ted Brill Great 8

The Ted Brill Great 8 Tournament is underway this weekend at Wakota Arena in St. Paul.

Mound-Westonka Whitehawk senior co-captain Nick Zilka was selected to the Section 6A-6AA team in this year’s tournament (Teal Jerseys).

Each team is made up of seniors — nine forwards, six defensemen, and two goalies, selected by district coaches.

The top players from the tournament will participate in the High School Showcase Tournament in Chicago, Illinois, April 21-24.
