“Life may weaken you, but you just come back stronger”

- Ryan Shuman

For the US team this is discovery time. It is one thing to be young and promising. It's quite another to be good. In the next two and a half hours, the U.S. team players will go through the most difficult and yet exhilarating time of their lives. They will be playing against a very good team, a team that's better than they are, and after that time, after its all over, this team will find out an awful lot about themselves, and simply find out how good they are.
- Ken Dryden, Hall of Famer and ABC Commentator, before the 1980 "Miracle on Ice"
